Paul Needham, Landlord of the Dog and Partridge behind the pumps in his but as he is awarded the trophy and certificate for Pub of the Year 2017. A popular village watering hole has been crowned CAMRA Pub of the Year for the second time.

The Marchington pub has now won the Uttoxeter's Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA) award for two of the three years it has been handed out. Paul Needham, who runs the Church Lane establishment, said he was "well chuffed" with his win.

There is an attractive, extensive beer garden running down to the River Churnet, with glorious views of the Alton Bridge itself. Accommodation is available and delicious home-cooked food is served at lunchtimes and evenings. The changing guest beers will often hail from local breweries.
